Many people in the UK would probably say they have ‘Christian’ values but that they do not really know God.  God has made Himself known through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.  So how do you get to know the Christ of Christianity? 

Jesus is now in heaven, having been raised from the dead.  He cannot be seen with the naked eye, though when He returns on the day of judgment He will be visible to all.  And in heaven Christians will see Him as He is.  However, His presence in the world today can be perceived in a number of ways.  Here are a few:

·         As the creator God He has left his fingerprints all over the created world.  Great things as well as small things speak of His power and wisdom.  

·         As the Head of the Church He is present, by His Spirit, among the congregation of His people when they meet together in His name. 

·         He also lives, by His Spirit, in the hearts of all individual believers.  Being a Christian is having Christ within. 

·         He also lives in His word, the Bible.
